about

Christopher Ryman is a mixed media artist most recognised for his profound and moving minimalistic artwork.

Born in Cardiff, Wales, it wasn’t until Christopher moved to Dublin as a musician after university, that he truly discovered his love for creating art.

A chance moment during a walk among the Irish hillsides uncovered an eye for photography when he took a few shots with a friend’s camera.

This was soon followed by a solo road trip around southern Iceland which, with camera in hand, served to cement his love for photography as well as crucially begin a journey of exploring various artistic mediums and expressions.

In turn, this led to exhibitions and his artwork being sold to private collections in Ireland, the UK and North America.

A move to England saw Christopher take time to focus on other creative ventures such as music projects, but his love for art was too great and soon he was returning to his passion and creating new works.

Christopher doesn’t limit his creativity to just one medium and likes to experiment with a range of mediums from acrylic paints to digital illustration to working with reclaimed materials.

Recently he has ventured into the world of fashion where he is an artist in residence for a clothing label launching in 2026.

With the release of new collections, being an artist in residence, and the opportunity to showcase his work once again, there is no doubt Christopher’s work will again prove a success - as it has done throughout his creative career.
